
The Sims 4 is a game you can buy on EA's Origin platform (and probably a physical store but who even goes to those anymore) for your PC and Macintosh.
But what is the Sims, you ask? Have you been living under a rock for the past ~14 years? The Sims is a life (read: death) simulation game from Maxis, the creators of SimCity. In the Sims, you create a Sim (or a family of them) and then build them (or move them into a pre-built if you're lame) a house, get them a job, keep them happy, and try not to (but eventually do) kill them or let them die.
EA has gotten into the habit of releasing these games right at the start of school semesters (February for Sims 1 and 3, and September for Sims 2 and now 4), ensuring that everyone (that plays them) has that much of more difficulty not-procrasting.
So what's new in Sims 4, you ask? The tag line for Sims 4 is Smarter Sims, Weirder Stories. And now I will quote directly from the Sims Wikia:
